THE TYPOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF THE SEMANTIC FEATURES OF NOUNS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES

This article examines the semantic features of nouns in English and Uzbek languages from a typological perspective. The study analyzes categories such as concreteness, countability, animacy, definiteness, gender, and collective meaning. Nouns, being a central part of speech in both languages, reflect important grammatical and semantic features. By comparing how English and Uzbek categorize and express noun semantics, we identify both universal and language-specific features. Special attention is paid to countability and definiteness, where both languages show significant structural differences
