ISSUES OF SELECTION, NORMALIZATION AND STANDARDIZATION OF PHILOLOGICAL TERMS

This article analyzes the theoretical and practical problems that arise in the process of selecting philological terms, their normalization and standardization. The issue of semantic accuracy, historicity and scientific traditions in the selection of terms is highlighted. The importance of bringing terms to a unified form, eliminating synonyms and variants in the normalization process is justified. The issue of balance between international terminological standards and national language features is also considered. The results of the study serve to systematize philological terminology and improve scientific communication.
