MONITORING AND EVALUATION OF LEARNING OUTCOMES

  This article provides a comprehensive overview of modern forms and methods used to assess students’ learning activities. The author analyzes the role of assessment in identifying learners’ knowledge, skills, and competencies, emphasizing its diagnostic, developmental, and educational functions. Special attention is given to the fact that, within primary education, pedagogical assessment is carried out in several sequential stages. The article substantiates the effectiveness of both traditional and innovative evaluation approaches, including testing, observation, interviews, and the portfolio method. As a result, practical recommendations are offered for optimizing the assessment of primary school students’ learning activities and improving the overall quality of education.
