The impact of the construction sector on regional gross domestic product: an economic analysis(Khorezm region)

This study examines the role of the construction sector in driving the Gross Regional Product (GRP) of Uzbekistan's Khorezm region, utilizing recent statistical data from 2025. The analysis reveals that the construction sector accounts for approximately 8.7-9.4% of the region's GRP, with robust growth rates exceeding 110% in the first nine months of 2025. Through direct contributions to output and indirect effects on related industries, construction significantly influences regional economic expansion, contributing notably to overall GRP growth amid Uzbekistan's broader infrastructure development initiatives. The findings underscore the sector's potential as a key driver for sustainable regional development.
