Semantic Precision of Procedural Legal Terms in Uzbek and English Judicial Texts

This article explores the semantic precision of procedural legal terms in judicial textswritten in Uzbek and English. The study highlights the critical role of linguistic clarity in legalcontexts and examines the semantic equivalence, translation accuracy, and contextual usage ofprocedural terminology in both languages. The research is conducted through corpus analysis,comparative semantics, and legal translation evaluation. The findings reveal discrepancies in termusage that may hinder accurate legal communication, suggesting the need for standardized bilinguallegal glossaries. Furthermore, it provides a cross-linguistic and interdisciplinary perspective,incorporating socio-legal implications of imprecise terminology and how it impacts procedural justiceand access to fair trial standards.
