THE IMPORTANCE OF MAINTAINING FAMILY TIES IN THE QUR'ANIC VERSES AND HADITHS AND ITS ROLE IN SOCIAL COHESION

The article examines the role and importance of silat ar-rahm (maintaining family ties) in society based on Qur'anic verses and Hadiths.Silat ar-rahm is presented as a significant universal religious concept aimed at strengthening relationships with relatives, fostering compassion, and reinforcing family bonds. The Qur'an places special emphasis on the importance of silat ar-rahm, highlighting the necessity of generosity, support, and mutual assistance among close relations. The Hadiths also stress the establishment of silat ar-rahm, strengthening inter-family solidarity, and maintaining peace and order in society. Both the Qur'an and Hadiths recognize the importance of maintaining family ties, emphasizing that fulfilling this duty is not only a familial responsibility but also a broader moral obligation. Silat ar-rahm plays a vital role in fostering social cohesion, prosperity, and healthy relationships within society. It holds significance not only from a religious perspective but also in ensuring social stability, improving interpersonal connections, and providing support to those in need.  Fulfilling the duty of silat ar-rahm properly is considered not only a reflection of one’s faith but also an invaluable contribution to the stability of society.
