This article examines the influence of patterns on pattern selection and garment construction, as well as their psychological impact on consumers. Particular attention is paid to, how reportorial pattern can influence the proportions and silhouette of a garment, as well as the perception of texture and material. In addition, the work emphasizes the importance of harmonizing patterns with structural solutions, which allows to create not only aesthetically pleasing, but also functional models of garments.
