N2  - . The primary task of a dictionary is to collect, describe, and systematize the vocabulary of the Uzbek literary language. This process consists of determining the lexical structure of the language, defining the meaning and scope of use of words, as well as strengthening and stabilizing the norms of the literary language. The dictionary not only explains the meanings of words but also provides their correct pronunciation, grammatical forms, and stylistic features, which helps in the correct use of the language. At the same time, according to the requirements of the time, the dictionary makes a significant contribution to improving the culture of speech, as it teaches students and users the most important rules of the literary language.
