This study investigates the clinical and morphological changes of the ureteral wall in patients with ureterohydronephrosis. Clinical evaluation was correlated with imaging and histopathological findings to assess ureteral remodeling and its impact on urinary flow. The results indicate that chronic obstruction induces smooth muscle disorganization, fibrosis, and inflammatory infiltration, resulting in impaired peristalsis and persistent urinary stasis. Early recognition of these changes is crucial for optimizing therapeutic interventions and preventing irreversible renal damage.
