Beyond local oral manifestations, increasing evidence\r\nindicates a strong association between periodontitis and systemic health conditions,\r\nincluding cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus, respiratory disorders, and adverse\r\npregnancy outcomes. This article provides a comprehensive review of the\r\npathophysiological mechanisms linking chronic generalized periodontitis with\r\nsystemic complications, highlighting the importance of early diagnosis, preventive\r\nstrategies, and interdisciplinary management to improve both oral and overall health\r\noutcomes.",
