Tabiat hodisalari, yashash muhiti va inson faoliyati bilan chambarchas bog‘liq bo‘lgan baliq nomlarining leksik-semantik xususiyatlari, etimologiyasi hamda ularning so‘z yasash modellari ilmiy jihatdan o‘rganilgan. Affiksatsiya usuli orqali yasalgan baliq nomlarining morfemik tarkibi, affikslarning ma’no o‘zgarishiga ta’siri, ularning o‘zbek tilidagi va turkiy tillar tizimidagi o‘rni izchil tahlil qilinadi.
