For developing countries such as Uzbekistan, it presents new opportunities for entrepreneurship, job creation, and integration into global markets. This article explores the key legal aspects of e-commerce, including the legal status of electronic contracts, digital signatures, and the regulation of online platforms. Special attention is given to the reforms in Uzbekistan: the “Digital Uzbekistan – 2030” strategy, the development of digital infrastructure, support for local marketplaces, and integration into international e-commerce networks. The article also examines challenges in implementing legislation, digital literacy, consumer trust, and international cooperation.
