TY - JOUR N2 - This article analyzes the linguistic and semantic features of phraseological units involving the names of household birds. The study highlights the semantic expression, level of imagery, and connection of bird-name expressions found in Uzbek and English with the national and cultural views of the people. It also shows the stylistic function of phraseologisms in speech related to domestic poultry such as chicken, rooster, duck, goose, and others, and their communicative significance.
