The growth of obesity, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and insulin resistance contributes to the increase in the frequency of NAFLD worldwide. Modern concepts of the disease pathogenesis indicate a multifactorial nature of its development, including lipid metabolism disorders, chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, endothelial dysfunction, and immune disorders. %Z Imported from Universal Conference (OAI id oai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/19073)
