The study aims to examine the interrelationship between social media algorithms, reward mechanisms, and user behavior using both theoretical and empiri cal approaches. The findings indicate that the attention-driven design of social media platforms not only increases user engagement but also indirectly reinforces negative interactions, including cyberbullying. In particular, algorithmic recommendation systems tend to prioritize emotionally charged and conflict-oriented content, which contributes to the expansion of cyberbullying. In addition, empirical observations reveal a correlation between intensive social media use and exposure to negative online experiences. The study further identifies the psychological, social, and behavioral impacts of cyberbullying on youth, and examines its influence on contemporary journalism and the media environment.
