      "keywords": "The article examines the relationship between the author and the narrator in A. S. Pushkin\u2019s The Tales of Belkin as one central problem of the cycle\u2019s artistic organization. Special attention is given to the fact that narration is constructed not as a direct authorial statement, but as a complex system of mediation between the real author, the fictional publisher, Belkin as narrator, and the characters of individual tales. This design enables Pushkin to create a language code in which literary tradition, conversational intonation, stylization, irony, and the socio-speech features of the characters interact. The analysis shows that the narrator performs not only a compositional function, but also a meaning-forming one: through his position, authorial distance, narrative polyphony, and the ambiguity of evaluating events are revealed. As a result, The Tales of Belkin appear as an artistic model in which authorship is connected with narrative mask, genre play, and textual interpretation",
