%X This work analyzes the reforms implemented in the preservation, conservation and restoration of cultural heritage in the first years of Uzbekistan's independence. Between 1991 and 2000, a number of legal frameworks were created in the country for the protection of historical and cultural monuments, state programs were adopted, and important monuments were restored.
