abstract: Children’s games are an essential aspect of socialization, offering a reflection of both linguistic and cultural values within a society. This study explores the linguistic and cultural characteristics of children's games in two distinct linguistic contexts: English and Uzbek. By analyzing the language used in children's games and the cultural elements embedded in these games, the research highlights the differences and similarities between the two languages. The paper examines the role of language in communication, the importance of play in childhood development, and how these games represent cultural norms, traditions, and societal values. Understanding the interplay of language and culture in children's games not only provides insights into the children's cognitive and social development but also enhances the understanding of cross-cultural communication and the ways in which language reflects cultural identity
