abstract: Migraine is a common and disabling neurological disorder characterized by recurrent, severe headaches often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, photophobia, and phonophobia. It significantly impacts daily functioning, work productivity, and quality of life. This article reviews the pathophysiology, clinical features, diagnostic criteria, and current treatment strategies for migraine, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches. Recent advances in targeted therapies, such as calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) inhibitors, are also discussed. Understanding these mechanisms and treatments is crucial for effective management and improving patient outcomes.
