%X This article discusses the nomenclature of medicinal products, which is the scientific system of naming pharmaceutical preparations. The correct naming of medicinal substances is very important in pharmaceutical and medical practice. The article provides information about chemical names, international nonproprietary names, and trivial names of medicinal substances. In addition, the rules for assigning trivial names to medicinal preparations and their practical significance in medicine and pharmacy are explained in detail.
