%X The article covers a number of tasks, such as the interpretation of place names of the Jarqurgan district, their dialectal study, interdisciplinary integration of toponyms, the significance of geographical names in the terminology of increasing the vocabulary of the Uzbek language. The issue of the importance of place names in the lexicon of the Jarqurgan dialect is touched upon. The trends in the change of names, the differences between scientific sources and the living language of the people are shown.
