abstract: This article examines the history of the creation of the bass dutar instrument and provides comprehensive scholarly information about this musical instrument. It also analyzes the creative activities of renowned bass dutar performers. In addition, the study discusses the requirements for teaching students to play the bass dutar, the stages of development of bass dutar performance in Uzbekistan, and effective pedagogical methods aimed at enhancing students’ performance skills.
