It examines the semantic, pragmatic, and educational potential of instructional texts and their role in fostering economic thinking, initiative, independent decision-making, and responsibility. Special attention is paid to the communicative and functional characteristics of textbook texts as effective tools for developing students’ life and social skills. The study also provides methodological recommendations for integrating a competency-based approach into mother tongue teaching in order to enhance entrepreneurial competencies.
