abstract: This essay discusses the content, essence of the concept of pedagogical skills and its importance in the modern educational process. The components of pedagogical skills are analyzed - pedagogical abilities, pedagogical techniques, communicative competence, personal qualities and professional competencies. It also discusses how a teacher's skills affect the quality of education and methodological ways to develop them.
