%X This article discusses the essence of pedagogical activity, its social significance, content and main features. The components of pedagogical activity, such as education, upbringing and development, are analyzed, the professional duties of the teacher, the scientific principles of the pedagogical process and the role of pedagogical activity in the development of society are revealed. The article summarizes the specific aspects of pedagogical activity as a multifaceted, humane and creative process and justifies the role of the teacher in the development of the personality.
