The development of livestock breeding in the country, the prevention of zoonotic diseases, ensuring animal health and increasing the safety of agricultural products are indicated as the main factors that increased the demand for the veterinary sector. Also, the stages of development of the veterinary system after independence, the organization of modern veterinary directions in higher educational institutions and the processes of personnel training are analyzed.
