The size of the zone of softening the layer from one rod of the roller was determined, the calculations made showed that the size of the zone of softening the layer from one rod of the roller is 10 - 11 cm. The number of rods installed on the roller and the width of the roller should be 50 cm. When the condition is met, it is determined that the layer is completely softened by the roller in the direction of movement, the number of rods installed on the roller should be 10 - 12 pieces. It was determined that the coverage width of the roller should be 50 cm, which would not damage the cotton.
