abstract: This article refines the composition of key characteristics in the development process of a specific integrated region in line with modern scientific approaches, emphasizing aspects such as multidimensionality, imbalance, inconsistency, periodicity, and gradual progression. The study conducts a comparative analysis of the theoretical specifics of contemporary scientific approaches to regional socio-economic development, clarifying the author's scientific directions within the research framework. Based on this, the initial phase of the research outlines key points for formulating practical proposals and recommendations, thereby establishing a solid foundation for achieving the research objectives.
