abstract: Historical monuments serve as vital assets for tourism development, offering cultural, economic, and social benefits to destinations worldwide. This article explores the role of historical monuments in fostering tourism growth by analyzing their appeal to travelers, their contribution to local economies, and their significance in preserving cultural heritage. Drawing on global case studies and scholarly research, the study evaluates how effective management, conservation, and promotion of historical sites can enhance tourism potential while addressing challenges such as overtourism, environmental degradation, and cultural commodification.
