	bibo:abstract "The article discusses theoretical approaches to the study of the phenomenon of stress, its nature, sources and mechanisms of influence on the human psyche and behavior. The classical and modern concepts of stress are analyzed, including the works of G. Selye, R. Lazarus and other researchers. Special attention is paid to the differences between physiological and psychological stress, as well as the role of cognitive factors in the perception of stressful situations. The main stages of stress, its functions and possible consequences for the personality are revealed. Strategies for coping with stress and the relevance of the topic in the context of modern life are discussed. The theoretical data obtained can serve as a basis for further empirical research and practical activities in the field of psychology."^^xsd:string;
