N2  - In the context of rapidly evolving digital education, fostering students' self-preparation skills has become a critical component of modern pedagogical practice. This study explores the role of software and didactic provision in supporting self-directed learning through an in-depth case study of the METosfera digital educational platform. Designed to enhance self-learning among university students, METosfera integrates instructional content, interactive tools, and personalized feedback mechanisms within a cohesive digital environment. Findings reveal that the structured software-didactic framework of METosfera significantly contributes to improving learners? motivation, engagement, and ability to manage their own study processes. The study concludes that well-designed digital platforms, underpinned by pedagogically sound software and didactic support, can effectively promote self-preparation and learner autonomy in higher education settings. Recommendations are offered for the further development and implementation of such systems in digital learning environments.
