This article explores the methodological dimensions of employing organizational metaphors in research and practice. It examines how metaphors frame perceptions, guide analytical inquiry, and influence strategic decisions. Drawing upon the foundational work of Gareth Morgan and others, the paper discusses the use of metaphor as both a heuristic and diagnostic device. Additionally, it explores limitations, contextual variables, and ethical considerations in metaphor-based inquiry.
