%X Listening is a fundamental skill in language acquisition, particularly in learning English as a second language (ESL). It serves as a precursor to effective speaking, reading, and writing. Despite its importance, many students struggle with listening comprehension due to various factors such as limited exposure to authentic language use, lack of effective strategies, and insufficient practice. This article explores strategies and methodologies to enhance listening competence among ESL students, drawing on current research and pedagogical practices.
