%X The article provides information on the botanical structure, distribution, composition of plant materials and medicinal properties of marigolds, which are widely used in folk medicine today. It is emphasized for which diseases the chemicals contained in safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) are effective and in which cases they should be used.
