Most importantly, this situation is relevant to the child population, as infections account for more than 50% among children. School-aged children and preschool-aged children make up 90-95% of all enterobiasis patients. Failure to adhere to personal hygiene rules and the lack of basic preventive measures result in the contamination of environmental objects with parasite eggs and larvae.
