abstract: This comparative study explores the semantic features and linguistic characteristics of nanotechnology terminology in the English and Uzbek languages. Through a systematic analysis of term-formation patterns, morphological structures, semantic relationships, and translation strategies, the research identifies both convergences and divergences in the ways these typologically distinct languages conceptualize and lexicalize nanotechnological concepts. The study examines mechanisms of morphological adaptation, the organization of semantic fields, borrowing patterns, and the challenges of terminological standardization in both linguistic contexts. The findings contribute to the broader fields of comparative linguistics, terminology studies, and scientific translation by highlighting language-specific and cross-linguistic tendencies in the development of specialized vocabulary.
