abstract: This article gives information about Contrastive linguistics and intercultural communication. The field of linguistics can be divided into several subfields: general and descriptive linguistics, theoretical and applied linguistics, microlinguistics and macrolinguistics. intercultural communication can be understood via the same basic variables and processes used to describe other forms of communication.
