%X This article investigates the effect of straw mulching on soil salinity. The research was carried out under the conditions of Bukhara region. The results showed that in non-mulched plots, soil salinity increased significantly from July to November, while in straw-mulched plots, salinity levels remained stable or decreased. Straw mulch reduced evaporation and prevented the upward movement of salts to the topsoil.
