      "abstract": "This article analyzes the adaptive changes of body tissues that occur under the influence of various physiological and pathological factors from morphological and functional perspectives. The process of adaptation manifests at the cellular and tissue levels through structural reorganization, alterations in metabolic activity, and activation of regenerative mechanisms. The main forms of adaptive changes, including hypertrophy, hyperplasia, atrophy, and metaplasia, are described based on scientific sources with emphasis on their histological characteristics. Furthermore, the role of adaptive processes in maintaining homeostasis and the mechanisms of their progression to pathological conditions are discussed.",
