%X Marburg virus disease is an acute viral infection characterized by a hemorrhagic syndrome and a high case fatality rate. It is caused by the Marburg virus, which belongs to the Filoviridae family. This article provides an in-depth analysis of the epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, laboratory diagnostics, and preventive measures of the disease. Research findings indicate that Marburg fever is distinguished by high transmissibility and a case fatality rate ranging from 24% to 88%, making it a significant global public health concern.
