TEACHING ENGLISH TO ESP STUDENTS THOUGH CLIL APPROACH

This article explores the effectiveness of using the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach to teach English to students studying English for Specific Purposes (ESP). By integrating subject matter and language learning, CLIL enhances not only linguistic competence but also professional expertise, preparing students for real-world communication in global contexts. The paper discusses the principles of CLIL, material selection, assessment methods, and teacher preparation while addressing challenges and showcasing successful case studies. The findings suggest that CLIL significantly improves students’ motivation, vocabulary acquisition, critical thinking, and soft skills, making it an essential approach in modern ESP education.
