In assessing the credit risks of commercial banks, it is important to analyze underwriting processes in order to reduce the share of problem loans in their loan portfolio and increase the level of profitability. Underwriting is an assessment of the creditworthiness of a borrower, that is, an individual or legal entity, analyze credit risk and make decisions. This article highlights the role and importance of underwriting processes in commercial banks in our republic.
