MAJOR MEGACITIES IN CHINA AND AIR POLLUTION: URBAN ECOLOGICAL CHALLENGES

This paper investigates the relationship between rapid urbanization and air pollution in China’s major megacities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Chengdu. The research highlights key sources of air pollutants, analyzes urban ecological impacts, and evaluates policy measures. Based on statistical and remote sensing data, the study identifies challenges to urban sustainability and suggests integrated solutions for improving urban air quality and public health.
