COMORBID INFECTIONS IN YOUNG CHILDREN: CLINICAL FEATURES AND ANALYSIS OF OBSERVATIONS

Comorbid infections, defined as the simultaneous presence of two or more infectious diseases in a single patient, represent a serious problem in pediatrics. Young children, especially those aged 4 to 10 years, are particularly susceptible to comorbid infections due to their immature immune system, frequent attendance at childcare facilities, and a wide range of pathogens circulating within the population. This study aims to analyze the clinical features and outcomes of comorbid infections in a small group of children aged 4-10 years. The obtained data emphasize the need for a comprehensive approach to the diagnosis and treatment of infections in children with comorbid pathology.
