This article presents modern MAS methods and research conducted in the “Genome and Biotechnology” laboratory of the Southern Agricultural Research Institute to combat yellow rust disease (Puccina striiformis f.s. tritici). After all, the most effective, affordable and environmentally friendly ecological method of combating any disease in agriculture is planting resistant, high-yielding and high-quality grain varieties. In this regard, the study of the virulence composition of rust diseases is of great scientific and practical importance for grain growing.
